Ireland u16 0 Brondby 3

Brian Kerr's u16 team suffered a heavy reversal in their first game of the Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland last night. Ireland came up against a far stronger Brondby side and were easily beaten 3-0 by the Danish club.
Brondby took the lead in the first half and never looked back from there despite some serious talent in the Irish starting line-up, including Stephen Bradley and Paul Keegan.

Ireland never really threatened and completely ran out of steam in the last ten minutes, allowing the Danes in for another two goals

Ireland u16 team: Darren Kelly (Cherry Orchard); Ciaran Sharkey (Belvedere); David Burke (Cherry Orchard); Pierre Ennis (Peamount), John Fitzgerald (St Jospehs); Dean Buckley (Leeds, Cork); Stephen Bradley (Lourdes Celtic); Stephen Rice (Lourdes Celtic); Paul Keegan (Home Farm); Stephen Maguire (Belvedere); Joe Salmon (Lourdes Celtic).

Subs: Pierce Power (Ferrybank) for Rice; Killian Brennan (Home Farm) for Buckley.
