Match report
Goals from Megan Lynch, Leanne Kiernan, Dearbhaile Beirne (2), and Saoirse Ludden (2) sealed the impressive win for Dave Connell's side.

As he prepares for the upcoming UEFA European Championship Elite Phase qualifiers, Connell was keen on giving opportunities to as many players as possible, so he called up several members of the Ireland WU17 team.

While a number of players who featured in the game had previously played for the Under 19s, this was a step up for many players and they responded well against a good team.

Lynch got Ireland's first goal with an excellent finish and the Shelbourne Ladies midfielder, who was wearing the captain's armband, was at the heart of many counter attacking moves.

Another Shelbourne player also got on the scoresheet as Beirne netted a quick-fire brace with finishes in the 55th and 67th minutes to put Ireland 3-1 ahead.

Connell rotated his line-up to take a close look at each player and many caught the eye, including Ludden who also fired in two goals in the second half.

Kiernan wrapped up the victory with a neat finish on 88 minutes as Ireland completed a game that proved to be a worthwhile exercise and gives Connell plenty of food for thought.
